As Ace Combat Infinity is rolling out, I decided to take a shot with the Japanese servers to get an actual, first-hand experience with the MMO Combat Flight Sim.
The one thing they made me go through was to fly with this hunk of junk in the beginning missions and they forced people to either wait 3 hours to replenish part of their fuel or to spend money to keep playing.
I don't hate it but WHY? Everyone else started out with F-16s but why am I lumped with the F-4?
Note: You actually start out with an F-22 in Assault Horizon, the worst Ace Combat game to date.

I think I might be the only AC fan that liked Assault Horizon....

If realistic F-4 behavior:
You use your aircraft's strength to your advantage. This is a high speed missile truck. You have eight shots. If you can get a missile off as you close, you've had a good encounter. Fire up the engines and head off, enjoying the ride. Don't stick around to view the scenery, don't shake hands with anything smaller than you, and definitely don't try to engage in any sort of knife fighting. Just go away and come back another day.
edit - forgot the "s" after engine. Two engines for twice the amount of fuel burn!
